Description
Garou Ejiru rules as the ninth Demon King, waging a prolonged war against humanity driven by his ambition for world conquest. Despite this tyrannical role, he moonlights part-time at Kirio Drugs on weekends, initially seeking access to the energy potions brewed by Reiji Kirio, to which he is heavily addicted; this addiction once led him to imprison a subordinate for failing to deliver two bottles. Reiji's treatment of him as just an ordinary child, rather than a ruler, gradually fosters Ejiru's respect, prompting him to perform menial tasks like cleaning bottles.

Ejiru possesses a childlike, spoiled personality marked by extreme arrogance, condescension, and a furious refusal to accept rejection or pity, especially when his authority is questioned. He frequently issues violent threats, such as destroying the town of Kalta, though he refrains when recognizing practical consequences like losing his potion supply. His intense infatuation with the werewolf girl Noela, a fellow employee, becomes a significant motivator; he persistently misinterprets her clear rejections as tsundere behavior, offering her half the world in marriage proposals. This unrequited affection drives him to continue working at the drugstore, where he often adopts a meek, socially awkward demeanor when his usual bluster fails.

Ejiru wields immense demonic power capable of causing natural disasters, though he hesitates to deploy it strategically. His signature spell, Quantum Bringum, enables teleportation but depletes roughly 90% of his mana, leaving him severely weakened. Physically, he appears as a young boy with short chestnut hair featuring an ahoge, amber eyes, and attire comprising a black outfit with gold trim, red arm and ankle wrappings, a velvet cape with plum interior, and black dress shoes. His relationships center on his reverence for Reiji—the first to treat him without deference—and his obsessive, one-sided affection for Noela.

His background as a warmongering tyrant contrasts sharply with his development into a comedic, lovestruck figure whose pride diminishes within the drugstore's mundane environment, revealing underlying vulnerability and social ineptitude.
