He is a young boy with a small stature, light brown jagged hair, and small black eyes. His primary occupation is that of an informant, and he is a member of Homeron's extensive information network.

Dannell is hired by a man named Griz to investigate the mysterious appearances of dragons throughout the city. It is in this capacity that he becomes an ally to Shu and his party during their trials set by the Investiture Beings. Despite his youth, Dannell is a capable fighter whose unconventional weapon of choice is a bazooka.

Throughout the story, Dannell forms key relationships with several characters. His professional relationship with Griz, who is his client, evolves into a close partnership as they work together. He also frequently travels and fights alongside the Knightmaster Conrad L. Lawrence and a regular companion named Legolas. Together with Griz, Conrad, and Legolas, Dannell joins forces with the main protagonists Shu and Bouquet, becoming reliable allies in their fight against the Investiture Beings.

In a significant turn of events, Dannell appears to fall in battle alongside Griz during a confrontation with the Amethyst Dragon. However, his death is not final; he is revealed to be alive later in the final episode of the series, demonstrating a resilience that allows him to survive a seemingly fatal encounter.
