Kikimaru is a character who appears in the Tenshu Monogatari segment of the anime Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales. He is a demon, identifiable by his physical traits which include gray eyes, black hair that reaches his ears, and elfin or animal-like ears. His physique is described as slim.

In the story, Kikimaru is almost never alone and is constantly seen alongside his companion, Kaikaimaru. The pair first appear together during the second meeting between the protagonist, Zoshonosuke, and a woman named Tomihime. Upon their arrival, they demand that Zoshonosuke hand Tomihime over to them, which he refuses to do, leading to a fight. Their motivations are notably driven by self-interest, as this pair of demons are primarily focused on finding treasures within Tomihime's castle.

During the initial conflict with Zoshonosuke, both Kikimaru and Kaikaimaru suffer a significant injury: they lose their tails. This occurs when Tomihime is hurt by a fragment of Zoshonosuke's broken sword during the struggle. However, Kikimaru is able to regenerate his tail. Following this event, the nature of their role shifts. They reveal to Zoshonosuke that they are, in fact, protecting him from Tomihime. They explain this by claiming that Tomihime is the princess of a forgotten god race, providing the rationale for their otherwise antagonistic behavior. Kikimaru is characterized as friendly, and his actions ultimately assist Zoshonosuke in his survival throughout the narrative.
