Description
Miki Kurosaki is a supporting character in Digimon Data Squad. She works as one of the two primary computer operators for the Digital Accident Tactics Squad, or DATS, a government organization tasked with managing incidents involving Digimon. Based at the DATS headquarters, Miki remains in the control room during missions, where she relays real-time information to field agents and identifies Digimon through her terminal. Her role is essential to the team's coordination and situational awareness.

Miki has a calm and collected personality, often approaching her duties with a level-headed and reflective mindset. She is practical and methodical in her work, maintaining composure even under pressure. She shares a close friendship with her fellow operator, Megumi, and the two are frequently seen together. They bond over shared interests such as karaoke and a fondness for attractive figures like Thomas H. Norstein or the singer Neon Hanamura. Miki is partnered with PawnChessmon (Black), a Digimon that mirrors her composed and reliable nature.

Her motivations stem from a sense of duty and loyalty to DATS and its mission of maintaining peace between the human and Digital Worlds. However, as the story progresses, she faces a moral turning point when DATS leadership aligns with harmful agendas. She chooses to disobey orders and goes on the run alongside her colleagues, demonstrating a growing willingness to stand up for what is right rather than blindly follow authority. She later participates directly in critical battles, including the confrontation with Belphemon and the effort to protect human civilians during the invasion of the Royal Knights.

Miki undergoes visible development from a purely supportive operator into someone who takes active risks for the sake of others. By the end of the series, she is reassigned to police duties, continuing her work from a new position within law enforcement. Her notable abilities include advanced computer operation, Digimon data analysis, and the capacity to scan and return Digi-Eggs to the Digital World, tasks that require technical skill and quick thinking. While she is not a frontline fighter, her contributions in logistics and information management are vital to the team's success.
