Ai Nagano is a Japanese voice actress born on August 13, 1974. She began her career in 1997 after training at the Toei Academy. Her debut role was the lead character Honey Kisaragi, also known as Cutey Honey, in the 1997 series Cutey Honey Flash. This marked the beginning of a long association with anime produced by Toei Animation.

Nagano is perhaps best known for her long-running role in the Pretty Cure franchise. She voices Komachi Akimoto, the intelligent and book-loving member of the team who transforms into Cure Mint. She first played this role in the 2007 series Yes! Precure 5 and continued in its sequel, Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!. Her portrayal of Cure Mint extended to numerous Pretty Cure crossover films, including the Precure All Stars DX trilogy, the Precure All Stars New Stage films, and the Healin' Good ♥ Precure movie. She also voiced Komachi's sister, Madoka Akimoto, in the series. Prior to this, she had a supporting role in the very first Pretty Cure series, Futari wa Pretty Cure, as the students' homeroom teacher, Yoshimi Takenouchi.

Beyond Pretty Cure, Nagano has been a recurring presence in other major Toei Animation franchises. She has multiple roles across the Digimon series, including Shuichon Lee (Suzie Wong) in Digimon Tamers, Miki Kurokawa in Digimon Savers, and Lady Devimon in Digimon Adventure. She is also known for her work in the Ojamajo Doremi series, where she voiced the character Reika Tamaki across multiple seasons and films. Other notable anime roles include Rita Revant in SoltyRei, multiple characters in Konjiki no Gash Bell!!, and Akiko in the long-running series Ojarumaru. She has also lent her voice to video games, such as Yes! Precure 5 and True Love Story 2, and drama CDs like Baccano!.
