Description
Lee Shuichon is a young girl who appears as a supporting character in the anime film Digimon Tamers: Runaway Locomon. She is approximately seven years old and is the younger sister of Lee Jianliang, one of the main Tamers. In the English version of the series, she is known as Suzie Wong. She is the human partner of the Digimon Lopmon, a small rabbit‑like creature, and shares a close bond with him. Her family background includes a Chinese father and a Japanese mother, making her half‑Chinese and half‑Japanese.
Personality‑wise, Lee Shuichon is playful, carefree, and innocent. She speaks in a childish, lisping manner and often does not fully grasp the gravity of dangerous situations. Despite her age, she is affectionate toward her brother and her Digimon partner, and she enjoys spending time with the other Tamers. Her motivation throughout the film is largely to stay with her brother and Lopmon and to help in whatever small way she can, though she is usually kept out of direct harm.
In the story of Runaway Locomon, set six months after the events of the Digimon Tamers television series, the Tamers are preparing a surprise birthday party for Rika Nonaka. Lee Shuichon, along with her brother Henry and their Digimon partners, is present on a train when the rogue train‑Digimon Locomon suddenly appears and begins wreaking havoc. When the train becomes inoperable, the group exits on foot. During the confusion, Henry inadvertently takes Lopmon with him and leaves Lee Shuichon behind with Terriermon, Henry’s own Digimon. The partners are later switched back, and Lee Shuichon and Lopmon are briefly attacked by two Parasimon during the final battle. Beelzemon intervenes and destroys the Parasimon, saving them. She then attends Rika’s birthday party at the end of the film, where she sings karaoke and plays with Terriermon and Lopmon.
Lee Shuichon’s key relationships are with her brother Henry, who is protective of her, and with her Digimon partner Lopmon, whom she treats with affectionate care. She also interacts with Terriermon and the other Tamers, though her interactions are limited due to her young age. Her development in the film is minimal; she remains the same bright‑hearted child throughout, though she demonstrates a quiet courage when she and Lopmon face the Parasimon, trusting in the older Tamers to protect them. In terms of notable abilities, she is a Tamer and thus can use her D‑Power device to assist Lopmon’s digivolution, but in the movie Lopmon does not achieve higher evolution forms. Her greatest strength is her unbreakable bond with Lopmon, which contributes to the group’s overall effort to resolve the crisis.
