Description
Komachi Akimoto is a third-year student at L’École des Cinq Lumières, a middle school where she serves as a library committee member alongside her best friend Karen Minazuki. Her family runs a traditional Japanese sweetshop, and she herself is a devoted reader and aspiring writer who often spends her free time in the library composing stories. Komachi is kind, gentle, and possesses a feminine, introspective nature, but she also holds a hidden temper that emerges when she is pushed too far. Despite her shy tendencies, she is well-liked by her classmates and is considered one of the popular seniors at the school. Her dream is to become a novelist, and she takes her writing seriously, revising her first story seven times before receiving praise from the fairy Nuts, a rare compliment from him. This admiration later grows into romantic feelings for Nuts, which she subtly expresses through her second novel.
As a Precure, Komachi transforms into Cure Mint, the Pretty Cure of Tranquility. Her civilian appearance is marked by short green hair and green eyes, while her Cure form features bright green hair that increases in volume with two long, wavy locks, and a large mint-and-dark-green butterfly ornament with a red gem on her head. Her costume is primarily green with a white and green skirt, reflecting her calm and reassuring nature. The transformation is initiated with the phrase “Precure Metamorphose!” using the Pinky Catch device, later replaced by the CureMo in the sequel series Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!.
