Description
Omi Shichijo is a second-year student at Bell Liberty Academy and a central figure among the school's most prominent students. He is physically striking, with silver hair and violet eyes, and stands notably tall at 184 centimeters. He was born in San Francisco to a Japanese mother and a French father, and as a result he grew up speaking three languages: Japanese, French, and English. During his elementary school years, his parents divorced, and he moved with his mother back to Japan. Because his mother was a busy career woman, he was sent to live with his maternal grandparents in the Hokuriku region and transferred to a local elementary school there. Having been raised abroad, he stood out among his more insular classmates and became a target of bullying during that time. His situation changed when Kaoru Saionji came to his aid, and from that moment onward Omi devoted himself to serving Saionji as a loyal attendant, an arrangement that has defined much of his life ever since.

In terms of personality, Omi is calm, composed, and almost always smiling, which gives him an air of pleasantness that can also make him difficult to read. His smile often conceals his true thoughts, and he has a mischievous streak, enjoying playful tricks and taking delight in teasing others, particularly Keita Ito, the protagonist. Beneath his gentle exterior he is highly intelligent and sharp-witted, and he is exceptionally talented with computers, possessing hacker-level skills. While he is normally mild-mannered, he can become extremely dangerous when he chooses to be, especially if someone crosses him or threatens those he cares about. He is also openly fond of sweets, with raisin ice cream being his favorite treat.

His role in the story is that of a capable right hand rather than a leader. He works in the Treasury and Accounting Department alongside Kaoru Saionji, whom he assists in managing the department's affairs. In practice, he handles much of the practical and technical work, using his intelligence and computer proficiency to support the student council's operations behind the scenes. Within the larger cast he serves as a supporting presence, frequently appearing at Saionji's side and interacting with the other students while quietly influencing events through his competence and loyalty.

The most important relationship in his life is with Kaoru Saionji, his childhood friend and the person he has chosen to serve. Saionji is sometimes called the queen of the school, and Omi is fittingly regarded as the queen's adjutant, carrying out orders and attending to Kaoru's needs without complaint. He is genuinely content in this role, finding purpose and satisfaction in being useful to the person who once saved him. His dynamic with Keita Ito is warmer and more playful; he enjoys toying with Keita and deriving amusement from his reactions, showing an affectionate and teasing side that he rarely displays with others. In contrast, his relationship with Hideaki Nakajima is openly antagonistic. Nakajima dismisses him with insulting nicknames such as "that dog" and "the treasury's dog," and the two are described as being on poor terms with each other, their clashes providing a recurring source of friction.

His development over the course of the story grows out of his background and the psychological weight of his devotion. Because he was rescued by Saionji during a painful period of bullying and isolation, he has built his identity around repayment and service, seeing himself primarily as an attendant rather than as an individual with his own desires. Through his growing interactions with Keita and the wider circle of students, he begins to confront the limits of this self-image and is gradually drawn toward forming bonds based on genuine affection rather than obligation. This movement from loyal retainer to a person capable of pursuing his own happiness forms the emotional core of his character arc.

His notable abilities include his trilingual fluency, his exceptional aptitude for computers and hacking, and his sharp analytical mind, which makes him highly effective in the accounting and treasury work that occupies him daily. He also possesses a quiet but formidable edge, and when his protective instincts or temper are roused, he is capable of acting with a ruthlessness that surprises those who only see his constant smile.
