Description
Hideki is a central protagonist and the de facto leader of the eponymous band in this comedic musical series. He is a young man with a distinctive appearance, characterized by his blonde hair, brown eyes, and a penchant for wearing sunglasses, often paired with a hat, suit, scarf, or tie.

As the owner of the daikon radish farm where the group lives and performs, Hideki is the most passionate and driven member of the trio. His singular, all-consuming motivation is to build a grand concert dome on his property, a dream he has harbored since childhood, where his band can finally perform for massive crowds and achieve stardom. This ambition fuels the narrative, as each episode typically follows a formula where Hideki initiates a scheme to acquire the necessary funds.

In terms of personality, Hideki is headstrong, ambitious, and easily duped, often leading the group into their various money-making escapades. Described as a loudmouth and passionately naive, his enthusiasm is matched by a certain level of impulsiveness. Despite his role as the group's leader and primary songwriter, he is not the most level-headed member of the group, frequently acting as a catalyst for the chaos that ensues. He is a selfish and foul-mouthed character, yet his unwavering determination and the sheer absurdity of his actions make him an endearing figure within the show's over-the-top world.

Key relationships define much of his personal story. His most prominent dynamic is with his cousin Mako, for whom he harbors a deep, unrequited romantic crush and wishes to marry, despite her constant rebuffs. Mako dismisses his affections, calling him a pervert and reminding him that their familial relationship is an obstacle, even if not strictly illegal in Japan. This creates a love triangle, as Mako is infatuated with the other band member, Hideki's brother Ichiro, who remains largely indifferent to her advances. Ichiro, in contrast to his brother, is more laid-back and pragmatic, often serving as a counterbalance to Hideki’s wild schemes. The trio is occasionally aided by a bizarre rental shop owner named Nabeshin, who provides them with outlandish items to assist in their plans.

Character development is minimal by design, as the series is a satire that relies on a repetitive, formulaic structure where the characters learn little from their constant failures. Each adventure typically ends with Hideki and his friends losing the money they have acquired, resetting the status quo for the next episode. Despite this cycle, his core ambition never wavers.

Notable abilities attributed to Hideki include superhuman physical characteristics, acrobatics, and proficiency in hand-to-hand combat. He and his partners demonstrate the ability to break through walls and survive building-leveling destruction, often through their schemes. He also possesses the unique ability to occasionally break out into song, a manifestation of a Broadway Force that expresses the characters' emotions and advances their over-the-top montages. On one memorable occasion, he even demonstrated a limited ability to shapeshift, turning into a dog.
