Description
Cellaria Markelight is an instructor on the space station Aries, brought in as a temporary lecturer from the United States through a special exchange program. She teaches subjects such as English, mechanics, and special exercises to the cadets aboard the station. Standing 171 centimeters tall, she has gray eyes and gray hair, typically appearing in a composed and cool-headed manner while wearing glasses.

On the surface, Cellaria presents herself as a strict yet caring and passionate teacher. She is known to be kind to her students, and many cadets on Aries look up to her despite her different nationality. She is one of the few characters with live-combat experience, which allows her to fight effectively alongside others when danger strikes. However, this calm and nurturing demeanor is eventually revealed to be a facade.

In truth, Cellaria is the mastermind behind the terrorist attack on the Aries station. She is a Perfect Sukyura, a being with an immortal body and regenerative cells known as Scar or Sukyura cells. Her true nature is that of a ruthless, cold-blooded, and sadistic individual. Her involvement with the terrorist group Hararacus is merely a temporary alliance, as she uses them for her own ends. Her ultimate goal is to secure funding to continue her research on Sukyura cells. When she sheds her teacher persona, she removes her glasses, her hair lengthens, and she reveals a provocative bondage-style outfit beneath her uniform.

A key aspect of her power is the ability to transfer her own Sukyura cells into other living beings, allowing her to control them. She can create two types of controlled beings: servants, and marionettes, which are under her complete domination. As the Perfect Sukyura, she is considered the ultimate being of her kind and holds sway over others who possess these cells. Throughout the story, she becomes increasingly intrigued by the protagonist, Shuhei, as he is the only individual she cannot fully control with her powers.

Her role in the story begins as a trusted instructor and military advisor, but she is ultimately revealed as the primary antagonist and the dark force orchestrating the station's crisis. She betrays the terrorists to take over the station herself with her own Sukyura soldiers. As the plot progresses, she grows increasingly frustrated as her controlled minions are defeated one by one. In a final act of desperation, she attempts to crash the Aries station into Earth.

Cellaria holds a particular interest in Shuhei, which has an undercurrent of lustful desire. Her personal development is tied to a tragic past involving childhood abuse by her father, which left her feeling lonely and isolated. In the end, she is destroyed by the character Nanami. Nanami is a half-Sukyura, and when Cellaria tries to absorb her, she inadvertently incorporates cells that act like a cancer to a pure Sukyura, causing her to self-destruct and crumble into ash. Despite her demise, a lock of her hair containing her DNA is recovered. In later stories, she is implied to have survived, having returned to her gentle teacher personality while retaining her original sharp way of speaking.
