Minako Kanō is a student at Higashi Shinmei High School, the same school where the protagonist Junichirō Kagami once studied and later worked as a substitute teacher. She was originally the leader of a delinquent gang known as the Black Oracle, a group that included members such as Miho Kitō, Seijūrō Nanami, and Taki Komiya. Her past as a gang leader stemmed from a deep disillusionment with the world, which she felt lacked heroes and meaningful justice. This cynicism drove her to become a delinquent who lashed out at society.

Her turning point came when she encountered Junichirō in an online chat. He told her, “If there are no heroes, become one yourself.” That simple but profound message inspired her to abandon her delinquent life and pursue a new dream: becoming a voice actress.
