Raji Shenazard is the crown prince of the kingdom of Tanbarun in the anime Snow White with the Red Hair. Captivated by Shirayuki's rare red hair, he orders her to become his concubine simply because he finds her beauty appealing, an act that sets the story's events in motion when Shirayuki cuts her hair and flees Tanbarun to escape him. His subsequent scheme to send her a basket of poisoned apples backfires when Zen Wistaria, a prince of Clarines, eats one and is poisoned instead. After Zen recovers and confronts him, threatening serious consequences if he approaches Shirayuki again, Raji becomes visibly intimidated and goes to great lengths to avoid trouble, even spreading a rumor that Zen intends to marry Shirayuki as a way of saving face.

Over time, Raji's role shifts from that of an initial antagonist to an ally. His turning point comes when Shirayuki is captured during a visit to Tanbarun and he steps forward to help Zen in her rescue, an act that improves public opinion of him and earns him greater respect from others. His development is closely tied to his relationship with Shirayuki, whose strength, independence, and honesty challenge him to reflect on his own shortcomings. During a visit to Clarines, she urges him to become the kind of prince his people could be proud of, and although he responds that he already understands what needs to be done, the conversation serves as a catalyst for genuine change. Raji begins to take his responsibilities as crown prince more seriously, making decisions with the well-being of Tanbarun in mind and gradually growing into a more humble, sincere, and dedicated royal figure.

His relationships reflect this growth as well. With Shirayuki, what begins as a desire to possess her becomes a tentative but genuine friendship marked by admiration and a wish to improve himself. With Zen, whom he initially fears after being threatened at sword point and who once called him Prince Moron, Raji gradually develops a more civil and ultimately respectful rapport, forming an unlikely camaraderie rooted in mutual respect. With Sakaki, his trusted aide, he shares a long-standing familiarity, and Sakaki, though blunt and critical at times, is loyal and protective, guiding him through difficult situations and quietly supporting his maturation.

In terms of abilities, Raji does not display any notable combat, magical, or specialized skills within the story. His significance lies in his political position as crown prince and in his personal transformation from a foolish and cowardly royal into a more responsible and conscientious leader, with his diplomatic interactions and evolving character taking the place of any extraordinary talents.
