TV-Series
Description
May-yen is the younger twin sister of May-yu, and both siblings originate from Shanghai. She is a fifteen-year-old girl who serves as one of the Garuda's Wizards, a role that involves supporting mecha pilots during combat by providing data analysis, navigation, and tactical assistance. After the death of Arque, she occasionally works as the Wizard for Chris as well. During the battle to reclaim the Shanghai server, she was salvaged and subsequently transferred to the Oceanus.

May-yen is characterized by a quiet and reserved demeanor, often appearing more gentle and approachable than her older sister. Kyo refers to her as the cute one among the twins, a comment that visibly irritates May-yu. She is analytical and detail-oriented, preferring to work through problems methodically rather than relying on intuition or impulse. Her calm exterior masks a deep loyalty to her comrades, particularly to Lu-Shen, whom she serves with unwavering devotion. She rarely raises her voice or acts out of emotion, instead maintaining a composed and thoughtful presence even under pressure.

Her motivations are centered on protecting the remaining human data and ensuring the survival of the Cerebrum organization's mission. She is driven by a sense of duty and a desire to support those she fights alongside, rather than by personal ambition or a need for recognition. Her role in the story is primarily supportive, but her technical skills and steady temperament make her a reliable and essential member of the crew.

May-yen's key relationships include her twin sister May-yu, with whom she shares a close but occasionally teasing bond. The two sisters are often seen working together, and their contrasting personalities complement each other in battle. She is also deeply devoted to Lu-Shen, following his lead without question. Her relationship with Kyo is cordial; he treats her with friendly respect, and she responds with quiet professionalism. After Arque's death, she steps in to assist Chris, forming a new working partnership that highlights her adaptability.

Throughout the series, May-yen does not undergo a dramatic personal transformation, but she demonstrates growth in her capacity to take on additional responsibilities and adapt to losses within the team. Her development is subtle, marked by an increasing willingness to work with new partners and to carry on the mission even when circumstances become bleak.

In terms of abilities, May-yen is a skilled Wizard, capable of processing large amounts of battlefield data in real time and providing precise support to pilots. She is proficient in operating the Garuda's systems and, when necessary, can adapt to the Oceanus's equipment. Like her sister, she is knowledgeable about the technological and strategic aspects of the war against the Gards-orm, making her a valuable asset in both planning and execution. Her physical appearance includes long pink hair, red eyes, and glasses, and she often wears practical attire suited to her duties aboard the ship.
