Description
Anastasia Yurievna Cocolova, almost always called Anya, is a young mage and a significant supporting character in Negima!. She is best known for being the childhood friend of the protagonist, Negi Springfield. A year older than Negi, Anya is also a graduate of the Merdiana Magic Academy in Wales, where the two grew up together, making her one of the few people his age with whom he shares a close, informal bond.
In terms of personality, Anya is characterized by her strong-willed, fiery, and competitive nature, which is fitting given her magical specialty. She is often seen frowning, particularly when she is frustrated with Negi, and has a distinct grumpy and irritable side.
