Description
Takashi Kawamura from the anime film The Prince of Tennis: Two Samurais, The First Game is a third-year student at Seishun Gakuen and a regular member of the school's tennis team. He is often called by his nickname, Taka-san, by his teammates and friends.

In his everyday life away from the tennis court, Kawamura has a modest, gentle, and somewhat shy personality. He is a hardworking and dedicated son, helping at his family's sushi restaurant, Kawamura Sushi, which is located beneath the family home. His family consists of his father, mother, and a younger sister. His father is a self-employed sushi chef, and Kawamura himself is trained in the craft and intends to pursue this career after middle school, with a goal of owning the number one sushi restaurant in Japan.

Kawamura's defining characteristic is his dramatic personality shift when he holds a tennis racket, or in some instances, any object resembling one. While normally soft-spoken, once he grips a racket he transforms into a loud, aggressive, and incredibly confident player. This persona, often referred to as his Burning state, is marked by him shouting energetic phrases, often in English such as Burning, Great, or Come on, baby. In this state, he becomes bold and his power on the court is unleashed. His tennis style is that of an aggressive baseliner who relies on his immense physical strength. His special moves include the powerful Hadoukyuu, a shot he learned to use after seeing it performed by an opponent, which utilizes a significant amount of the arm's strength. He also has a powerful serve known as the Burning Serve.

Within the story of The Prince of Tennis: Two Samurais, The First Game, Kawamura and the rest of the Seishun Gakuen regulars are invited onto a luxurious cruise ship owned by a millionaire named Hikomaro Sakurafubuki. While on board, his background as a sushi chef provides a moment of subtle insight. During a banquet dinner, he remarks that the extravagant food does not taste as expensive as it looks, a comment that hints at the deceptive nature of their surroundings. This observation, made early in the film, contributes to the growing suspicion among the team that the lavish invitations conceal a more sinister purpose.

Throughout the film, Kawamura's role is as part of the Seishun Gakuen team. While the main plot focuses on the arrival of Ryoma Echizen's older brother, Ryoga, and the revelation that the cruise is part of an illegal gambling scheme, Kawamura's primary function is to support his teammates. His key relationships are with the other regulars, particularly with his fellow third-year students and underclassmen like Takeshi Momoshiro. He shares a close friendship with Jin Akutsu from Yamabuki Middle School, whom he met at a karate dojo before becoming a tennis player. This friendship later becomes a source of inspiration for him. In the film, Kawamura is not given a dedicated singles or doubles match, and his development is consistent with his established persona from the main series. He contributes to the team's dynamic primarily through his physical presence and the reliable, if explosive, power he brings when the team needs it. The details of his dual personality and his powerful tennis abilities remain consistent with his portrayal in the broader Prince of Tennis franchise, though the film does not focus on any significant personal evolution for his character beyond his support for the team's collective struggle against their captors.
