Lee Seonwu, also known as Ruka Nogi, is a ten-year-old boy of half-French and half-Japanese heritage who attends Alice Academy. He has blonde hair that parts in the middle and light blue eyes, and he wears the standard elementary school uniform with a red bow and red plaid pants. His Alice ability, known as the Animal Pheromone Alice, allows him to attract animals of all kinds and communicate with them, and animals naturally adore him. He is often seen carrying a small rabbit with him. Ruka is known for his gentle, kind, and pleasant personality, which serves as a calm counterbalance to his best friend Natsume Hyuuga's more intense temperament. This gentle nature, combined with his good looks, makes him popular among his classmates, especially the girls. Despite his popularity, he is modest and can be embarrassed by his own Alice, something that Hotaru Imai often teases him about by taking and selling funny photographs of him. Ruka is Natsume's childhood friend and the only person who could get close to Natsume before Mikan Sakura arrived at the academy. He also develops romantic feelings for Mikan but chooses to support her relationship with Natsume rather than act on them. Throughout the story, he helps Mikan adjust to academy life and studies alongside her, demonstrating his caring and supportive nature. He belongs to the Somatic class and is a high-achieving student, holding the rank of Triple Star. As the series progresses, Ruka becomes more comfortable with his Alice and his role within the group. At the conclusion of the story, he is the only one among the four main friends who decides to remain at the academy, indicating his deep connection to the place. His loyalty, kindness, and ability to nurture relationships with both people and animals define his character.
