Minami Kōsaka is a supporting character in the anime Jinki:Extend, where she serves as a key figure within the organization known as Angel. Within that group, she acts as a representative and helps coordinate operations. Earlier in the timeline, during the events of the Jinki arc, she held the position of chief of the Heavens recovery team based in the Kanaiman Angel facility. During the Venezuela arc, she served as the upper operator of the Nana-Two Way Custom mecha.

Minami is also the adoptive mother of Rui Kōsaka, a relationship that forms a central part of her personal life.
