Setsuna Meiō, Sailor Pluto, guards the Door of Space-Time across all series iterations. Her sacred duty enforces three taboos: never abandoning her post, never permitting unauthorized time travel, and never stopping time—violating the last taboo results in her death. Originating from the Silver Millennium era, Queen Serenity assigned her this eternal watch. She is occasionally called the daughter of Chronos, the god of time, underscoring her temporal connection.
During the Black Moon arc, she sacrifices her life by stopping time to prevent the space-time continuum's destruction. Her story diverges between media: in the manga and *Sailor Moon Crystal*, Neo-Queen Serenity reincarnates her in the 20th century initially without past memories, where she lives as Setsuna Meiō, a university physics student.
