Veronica Taylor is an American voice actress widely recognized for her extensive work in English-language adaptations of Japanese anime. Born on December 4, 1968, in Westchester County, New York, she began using the stage name Veronica Taylor professionally, though she was born Kathleen Charlotte McInerney and also works as a narrator under her birth name. Her passion for performance began in early childhood, and she pursued formal acting training at the Catholic University of America and Brandeis University. Before fully committing to voice acting, Taylor taught high school for a year and gained experience in numerous theatrical productions across the United States.

Taylor's entry into anime voice acting came through a recommendation from her acting coach, which led to her first role in the industry. She was subsequently discovered and recruited by 4Kids Entertainment, a move that would establish her as a prominent figure in English dubbing. Her most iconic and defining role came when she was cast as the voice of Ash Ketchum in the English dub of the Pokémon anime. She voiced the character for the first eight seasons of the series, also taking on the roles of his mother, Delia Ketchum, and the trainer May in later seasons. Taylor has reflected on voicing Ash as a significant responsibility and a transformative experience in her career.

Beyond Pokémon, Taylor's filmography includes a vast array of roles across multiple series. She voiced Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun in the Slayers series, April O'Neil in the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, and Nico Robin in the 4Kids dub of One Piece. In later years, she became the voice of Setsuna Meioh / Sailor Pluto for Viz Media's re-dub of the Sailor Moon franchise, appearing in Sailor Moon Crystal, the Sailor Moon Eternal films, and the Sailor Moon Cosmos films. She also voiced Cosmos in the Dissidia Final Fantasy video game series.

Her career continues to be prolific, with a wide range of roles in contemporary anime. Taylor voiced Mira Yoo in The God of High School, the Executioner Boss in Akudama Drive, and Ayame in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato. She has multiple roles within a single series, as demonstrated by her performances as Mary, Gracefeel, and Marple in The Faraway Paladin, as well as Fatla, Fighsly, and the Mega-Mega Goddess in I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level. Other notable credits include the role of Wilma in The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?, Pauline in Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!, Mai Mai in In the Land of Leadale, and The Goddess in The World's Finest Assassin.

Taylor has also lent her voice to Astraia Tor Deikun in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin and Tamao Tamamura and Iron Maiden Jeanne in Shaman King. Her earlier work includes the role of Reborn in Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Akari Mizunashi in the Aria series, Max Taylor in Dinosaur King, and numerous others in series such as His and Her Circumstances, GaoGaiGar, and The World of Narue.
