TV-Series
Description
Limelda Jorg is a second lieutenant of the Gazth-Sonikan Royal Guard and the most accomplished sniper in the country, surpassed only by Madlax. She enlisted in the military after her relatives were killed by Galza, a loss that fueled her initial dedication to the Royalist cause. Limelda is a fearless, strong-willed, and highly skilled woman who takes great pride in her abilities. Her role in the story begins when she is assigned to protect the Commander-in-Chief of the Royalist Army, Guen McNichol. When Madlax assassinates him under Limelda’s watch, Limelda becomes consumed with hunting down Madlax, viewing her as both a hated rival and the only person worthy of her obsession. She even kills other Gazth-Sonikan soldiers who interfere with her personal vendetta.

Her motivations shift dramatically when Madlax shares evidence revealing that the criminal syndicate Enfant orchestrated the civil war. This discovery shatters Limelda’s worldview and prompts her to leave the army, but she does not abandon her fixation on Madlax. Instead, she clings to a desperate hope that killing Madlax will restore the world to a state of normalcy. This leads to a tragic confrontation where she accidentally kills Vanessa Rene while aiming for Madlax, an act that plunges Madlax into depression and deepens the conflict between them. Limelda also develops a romantic interest in Carrossea Doon during her time as his bodyguard, but she ultimately cannot bring herself to kill him when she learns the truth about Enfant.

Throughout the series, Limelda’s character undergoes significant development. She evolves from a loyal soldier driven by revenge into a disillusioned woman forced to confront the falsehoods that supported her purpose. In her final encounter with Madlax, after a prolonged gunfight, she admits she cannot defeat her. Madlax asks Limelda to watch over her and remember her existence, and Limelda agrees. She follows Madlax to Enfant’s headquarters, where she is unable to interfere in the supernatural events because she lacks the Gift. By the end, Limelda makes peace with Madlax, driving her away from the combat zone and promising to always look after her.

In terms of notable abilities, Limelda is an elite sniper expert in long-range combat, wielding a Heckler & Koch PSG-1 rifle and a Beretta 92F pistol. She is also physically formidable and tactically sharp, though she operates without any supernatural powers, standing in contrast to the Gifted characters central to the series’ larger conflict.
