Description
Mike McField, known by the nickname Mac, is a character from the anime Legendz: Yomigaeru Ryūō Densetsu. He is a childhood friend and classmate of the main protagonist, Shu, and also of Meg. Mac is an obese boy with a gentle, easygoing nature. He rarely gets upset and is known for his warm-hearted and kind personality. He has a deep fondness for hamburgers and often carries one in his hand. He also has a verbal habit of adding phrases like "you know" at the end of his sentences. Mac is designated the Saga of Earth, which marks him as one of the few individuals capable of rebirthing a legendary creature of that attribute.
In the story, Mac plays the role of a loyal and perceptive friend. He shows keen insight into the situations the group encounters and is able to sense danger in a way that resembles the instincts of the Legendz themselves. This ability stems from the fact that the griffin Garion, the Legendz of Earth, was sealed within his body. During the middle of the series, an enemy Legendz forced Garion to be reborn through Mac, causing him to lose control of the griffin's power. The resulting rampage was stopped when the Legendz Shiron and Greedo risked their own safety to reason with Garion and separate him from Mac. After this separation, Mac regained the ability to voluntarily reborn Garion, and his earlier prophetic-sounding words and heightened sensitivity faded. He still retained a strong bond with Garion and used the griffin in battle to protect his friends and oppose the Dark Wiz Company.
Mac's motivations are primarily driven by loyalty and a desire to help Shu and the group. He is not particularly ambitious or confrontational, and he remains calm and supportive even in dire situations. His key relationships include his close friendship with Shu, his bond with the other child protagonists, and his partnership with Garion.
