TV-Series
Description
Mii is the youngest of three sisters at eleven years old and is the most energetic and innocent member of the group. She has light purple hair that is usually tied into double buns on top of her head, though when she dresses as her alter ego, Magical Girl Mii, she wears it in twintails. Her personality is marked by boundless hyperactivity, a strong naivety, and an innocent yet persistent fascination with soft, plushy textures, which she often remarks upon when touching objects or even people. This childish curiosity sometimes leads her to make comments that others find embarrassing, but she does so without any malice or awareness.
Mii’s primary motivation stems from a desire to help others and to embody the role of a magical girl. After watching a magical girl cartoon on television, she becomes convinced that she can use superpowers to fight evil and aid those in need. She enthusiastically dons a custom‑made magical girl costume and frequently goes on self‑appointed missions to protect people. In truth, the only supernatural ability she possesses is healing; when she focuses on someone who is injured or ill, a soft green light emanates from her and restores them. However, for most of the story she remains unaware of this power and continues to believe she has a full arsenal of magical abilities.
In the overall narrative, Mii is one of the main protagonists alongside her sisters Ai and Mai, their android maid Mea, and their pet ferret Unagi. The group travels through time inside their mansion, following clues related to a mysterious dandelion‑like entity called the Popotan, seeking answers to profound personal questions. Mii’s role is often that of the lighthearted and optimistic heart of the group. Unlike her sisters, especially Mai, Mii adapts quickly to each new time period, making friends easily and rarely feeling sad or depressed when they must leave those friends behind. Her resilience and cheerful nature help balance the more serious moments of their journey.
Her relationships with her family are central. She looks up to her eldest sister Ai and frequently comments on Ai’s features in her own candid way. She shares a sibling bond with Mai, attending the same school, and is the one who most enthusiastically interacts with the household ferret, Unagi, though Unagi tends to be frightened of her exuberance. The android maid Mea, who initially appears emotionless, becomes a steady presence in Mii’s life.
Throughout the series, Mii shows growth primarily through the revelation of her healing ability. When a chronically ill friend collapses from overexertion while playing with her, Mii instinctively uses her power to heal the girl, marking a key moment in her development. Even after this event, she continues to believe in her other imaginary powers, but the healing gift remains a tangible sign of her genuine desire to help others. Her childish innocence never fully fades, yet her actions demonstrate a depth of care and empathy that make her more than just a comic figure.
