Description
Mea is a character from the narrative surrounding three sisters who travel through time in a mansion, though she is distinct from them in nature and origin. She serves as the live-in maid for the sisters, Ai, Mai, and Mii, and is responsible for cooking, cleaning, and providing various pieces of information to the household. Mea is actually a lifelike android, which sets her apart from the human sisters she cares for. She has very long red hair and red eyes, and her outward demeanor is initially stoic and emotionless, appearing almost robotic in her mannerisms. However, as the story unfolds, she reveals hidden depths of feeling and complexity beneath her calm exterior.

Mea’s role in the story is that of a secondary protagonist, supporting the sisters on their journey. She is later revealed to be a guide assigned to aid the sisters, helping them along their path, and it becomes known that she is working alongside the characters Shizuku and Keith. Her motivations are tied to this guiding function, though she also develops a genuine attachment to the sisters and their mission. Despite her android nature, Mea occasionally expresses loneliness and bitterness, stemming from the fact that she is often left behind at the mansion when the sisters go out.

Key relationships include her bond with each sister, particularly with Mai, as at one point she and Mai rejoin the group after a five-year gap when the mansion returns to the same spot. Mea’s connection to Shizuku and Keith indicates a larger network of purpose behind the sisters’ travels. Her development is marked by a gradual shift from an apparently cold, unfeeling presence to a character who demonstrates care, loyalty, and a sense of isolation. Notable abilities include her android construction, which makes her lifelike but also gives her a durability and function beyond that of a normal human, though she does not possess the supernatural powers that the sisters have. Her character serves as a quiet constant in the ever-changing journey of the mansion, eventually proving to have more agency and emotion than first appearances suggest.
