TV-Series
Description
Miles Tails Power is a young anthropomorphic fox with two tails, a characteristic that made him the target of bullying before he met Sonic the Hedgehog. He hails from a parallel dimension and becomes one of the central characters in the series. His full name, Miles Prower, is a playful reference to miles per hour, but he is almost universally known by the nickname Tails. In Sonic X, Tails is portrayed as a gentle, kind-hearted, and humble individual who deeply admires Sonic and views him as an older brother figure. He is exceptionally intelligent and possesses a natural talent for mechanics and engineering, often creating gadgets, vehicles, and other inventions to aid his friends. His mechanical genius rivals that of Dr. Eggman, though Tails uses his abilities selflessly for the benefit of others. He is also a skilled pilot, frequently flying the Tornado, a biplane that he upgrades with the help of fellow inventor Chuck Thorndyke. Tails's most distinctive physical ability is flight: by spinning his two tails like helicopter rotors, he can propel himself through the air for short periods, though this tires him quickly. He can also swim, unlike Sonic. Despite his bravery and growing confidence, Tails retains a cautious and analytical nature, often urging careful planning before action. He sometimes struggles with self-doubt and a desire to prove his worth, but his loyalty and willingness to help without expecting anything in return make him an invaluable member of the team. Over the course of the story, Tails develops greater independence and courage, learning to trust his own abilities while still looking up to Sonic. His key relationships include his close bond with Sonic, a supportive friendship with Chuck Thorndyke, and a rivalry with Dr. Eggman, whose intellect he matches. Tails's role in the narrative is that of the brains and technical support, providing the group with inventions, transportation, and strategic solutions to the challenges they face. His notable abilities include his twin-tail flight, prodigious mechanical and engineering skills, piloting expertise, and the use of various gadgets such as the Miles Electric, a multifunctional handheld device.
