Description
Labramon is a Beast Digimon with the appearance of a real dog, specifically resembling a Labrador Retriever. It has white fur across its body, red eyes, magenta ears, and a curled tail, with triangular marks under its eyes. As a Rookie-level Digimon of the Vaccine attribute, Labramon is an artificially created Digimon designed as the prototype for the V-Pet device. It was created by the father of Uehara Minami to serve as a digital replacement for her deceased pet dog, Mei, and was modeled directly after the real puppy. The V-Pet containing Labramon was intended to hold a vaccine program that could counteract a virus responsible for causing global computer malfunctions.

Labramon's bond with Minami is central to its identity. At first, Minami rejected the V-Pet because she could not accept the loss of her dog, but Labramon itself is deeply loyal and protective. Its personality mirrors that of a devoted canine: extremely faithful to its Tamer and compelled to shield them from harm, even at great personal cost. Labramon treats its duty to protect Minami as its primary mission.

In the events of Digimon Tamers: Battle of Adventurers, Minami flees with the prototype V-Pet after discovering the conspiracy behind the V-Pet virus. She is pursued by hostile Digimon sent by the villain Mephistomon. Initially, a Champion-level form called Seasarmon emerges from the V-Pet to defend her, but Mephistomon forces it to devolve back into its Child-level form, Labramon. Despite its smaller size, Labramon continues to fight alongside the other Tamers, including Takato Matsuki and his partner Guilmon. During the final confrontation, Labramon shields Minami from an explosion, sustaining fatal damage. In a pivotal moment of emotional development, Minami accepts Labramon as the reincarnation of Mei, calling it by the name she had always been unable to say. This acceptance activates the vaccine program within Labramon, which spreads to neutralize the virus affecting computer systems worldwide. Labramon dissolves, but its actions save the digital infrastructure and bring closure to Minami's grief.

Labramon's key relationship is with Minami Uehara, whose journey from denial to acceptance defines the Digimon's role in the story. It also interacts briefly with the main Tamers, especially Takato and Guilmon, who witness its sacrifice. Labramon does not undergo further evolution in the film, though its design as an artificial Digimon leaves the possibility open in other media.

Labramon possesses two notable abilities. The first is Cure Liqueur, a healing technique that restores the data of injured or weakened Digimon it considers allies. The second is Retriever Bark, which generates a hyper-oscillation through an intense bark, capable of stunning or damaging opponents. These abilities reflect its supportive and protective nature, making it a valuable ally despite its modest power level.
