Description
Hamrio Musica, known as Hedara Musica in the English dub of the anime, is a central character in Rave Master. He is a confident and highly skilled individual who serves as one of the main protagonist Haru Glory's most trusted traveling companions and closest friends.

Musica hails from the renowned Musica family, though his entire family was killed by a member of the terrorist organization Demon Card when he was young. Orphaned, he was taken in and raised by a man named Rize, who taught him the art of Silver Claiming. On his deathbed, Rize tasked Musica with a crucial mission: to find and destroy a powerful and dangerous artifact known as the Silver Ray. Before joining Haru, Musica was the leader of a band of thieves called the Silver Rhythm Gang, operating from a location known as Punk Street and piloting his own flying ship, the Advent.

Musica is defined by a personality that blends charm, roguishness, and deep-seated loyalty. He is notably confident and self-assured, often displaying a flirtatious demeanor, especially around attractive women he encounters on his journey. Beneath this exterior, however, lies a fiercely reliable and courageous fighter. He has unshakeable trust in Haru's leadership and rarely questions his decisions, always ready to defend his friend in battle. The two are described as forming a formidable team. Musica himself acknowledges that Haru changed him, making him a more affectionate person. His loyalty extends beyond his friends; he once turned himself in to the authorities to break one of his gang members out of jail, demonstrating his commitment to those under his care.

His primary motivation is twofold. Initially, his personal quest is to locate and destroy the Silver Ray, a mission inherited from his late mentor. As he travels with Haru and Elie, his goals align with theirs, and he becomes deeply invested in helping Haru collect the Rave Stones and defeat the Demon Card organization to bring peace to the world. Musica undergoes significant development throughout the story, which is reflected both physically and emotionally. Physically, he changes his appearance early on, cutting and dyeing his shoulder-length auburn hair into a short, spiky black style. His personal journey is marked by the tragic relationship with Reina, a rival he initially clashes with. They eventually set aside their differences to work together, mastering the ultimate Silver Claimer technique, Silver Bond, which requires absolute trust. After Reina sacrifices herself to help him destroy the Silver Ray, her spirit and a purified Dark Bring fuse with Musica's own silver, creating a new, powerful weapon he carries forward in her memory. This loss profoundly impacts him, and he vows to continue fighting evil in her name. Later, he uses his skills to forge a new sword, Ravelt, for Haru to use in the final battle, an act of tremendous effort that nearly costs him his life.

Musica's most notable ability is Silver Claiming, an alchemic power inherited from his family that allows him to instantly transmute any silver he touches into any form of weapon or tool he desires. He is an expert spear specialist and primarily shapes his silver into a powerful Silver Spear for offensive combat, but he can also create whips, chains, hammers, shields, and even medical casts. His ultimate technique is Silver Bond, a devastating shockwave attack of limitless force that can only be performed when two Silver Claimers are in complete mutual trust. He also possesses a rudimentary, amateur ability in Gold Claiming, which he learned by observing an enemy, though using it damages him. Through his journey, he gains the legendary Silver Ray weapon, which becomes his most powerful artifact, infused with Reina's spirit.
