Haru Glory is the main protagonist and the second person to hold the title of Rave Master. He was born and raised on Garage Island, a remote and isolated location, where he lived with his older sister, Cattleya Glory, after their father, Gale, left home on a journey and their mother, Sakura, passed away. For much of his childhood, Haru worked as a carpenter, a practical skill that reflects his humble beginnings. His life changes dramatically when he fishes a strange white creature named Plue out of the ocean and subsequently meets Shiba, the previous Rave Master. Shiba, recognizing Haru’s potential, entrusts him with the sacred Rave Stones and the legendary Ten Commandments sword, passing on the duty of stopping the evil organization Demon Card.

Haru has a personality that is both kind and pure-hearted to a fault, often described as a classic example of a sincere and energetic hero. He is friendly, open, and forms strong emotional bonds with people very quickly, often turning former enemies into steadfast allies. Possessing a strong sense of justice, he cannot tolerate those who abuse power or treat human life as a toy. While he can be naive, dense, and sometimes an "idiot hero" who rushes into situations without thinking, he is also surprisingly perceptive and capable of understanding the deep-seated issues of others. Despite his willingness to fight fiercely, he is considered a technical pacifist, holding a strong personal code against killing his human enemies if he can avoid it and believing that even evil people deserve a second chance. He is known for being hot-blooded, easily moved to tears by sad stories or romantic movies, and utterly determined, refusing to ever give up in a battle.

Haru’s primary motivation is to find all the scattered Rave Stones and destroy the Dark Brings created by Demon Card in order to bring peace to the world. This quest was first inspired by a promise he made to Shiba and Plue. As the story progresses, his motivation becomes more personal and focused on the protection of his friends, most notably a young woman named Elie. His reason to fight crystallizes into a simple but powerful declaration: to protect Elie from anything that would make her cry. This dedication to his companions is his greatest source of strength.

In the story, Haru serves as the central figure around whom the other main characters gather. His role is that of a unifying leader and the primary force for good against Demon Card. As the Rave Master, he is the prophesied chosen one destined to save the world, a role he grows into throughout his journey. Key relationships define his journey. His bond with Plue, his faithful and determined partner, is one of the first he forms. Elie is the most significant person in his life; he swears an oath to protect her, and their relationship develops from awkward friendship into a deep, romantic love, although they are both too shy to confess their feelings for most of the series. He shares a powerful and unspoken bond of trust and friendly rivalry with the swordsman Musica, who later forges Haru’s ultimate sword for him. His connection with his father, Gale Glory, is complicated; after believing him to be lost, Haru reunites with him to fight as allies against the king of Demon Card, only to see his father sacrifice himself to save him.

Throughout the series, Haru undergoes significant development. He begins as a reluctant hero who initially refuses the call to adventure out of loyalty to his sister. He grows in confidence and skill, evolving from a boy with a powerful sword into a true Rave Master. A pivotal moment in his development is a ceremonial duel with a young Shiba, where he must define his own reason for fighting, ultimately overcoming the previous master by choosing to fight for Elie rather than for abstract ideals like saving the world. He demonstrates immense emotional maturity by not letting his anger consume him when he learns that King killed his mother; instead, he acknowledges the tragedy in King’s own life as well. At the story's climax, he makes a heroic sacrifice, allowing himself to be absorbed by the creature Endless and asking Elie to destroy it with him inside to save the world. He is ultimately revived by the Star Memory’s magic and returns to live peacefully with Elie, with the final chapter showing they have a son named Levin.

Haru’s notable abilities are intrinsically linked to the Ten Commandments sword and the Rave Stones. The sword has a base form called Eisenmeteor, a simple metal blade that cannot be blocked by magic. By channeling the power of Rave, the sword can transform into nine other distinct forms, each with unique properties. These forms include Explosion, which creates powerful blasts; Silfarion, which grants supersonic speed; Rune Save, a sealing sword that cuts intangible things like magic; Blue Crimson, which splits into fire and ice dual blades; Mel Force, which fires vacuum air blasts; Gravity Core, an incredibly heavy blade capable of cutting through anything; Million Suns, a blade of holy light; and Sacrifar, a dangerous bloodlust sword that seals away emotions other than rage, granting immense power at the risk of consuming the user. After his friends reforge the sword, Haru obtains its ultimate and final form, Ravelt, which has the power to dispel evil and can utilize the abilities of the other forms simultaneously. In addition to his swordsmanship, the Rave Stones themselves grant him superhuman strength, speed, and agility.
