Description
Teruto Kurabe awakens in Neo Kyoto burdened by complete amnesia, devoid of any past memories. A powerful, enigmatic card in his possession becomes central to his identity and combat approach. This profound memory loss fuels his drive to uncover his origins within a society where status hinges on prowess in the strategic card game Build-Divide. His path demands confronting and defeating the city's ruler, the King.

Stoic and determined, Teruto often appears reserved or emotionally detached. His combat style revolves around high-stakes wagers, consistently betting all his Re:Build chips in each match. This reflects a willingness to risk everything, blending strategic calculation with inherent boldness. Despite his aloof demeanor, he forges significant bonds, beginning when he rescues Sakura Banka from an attacker. Recognizing his potential, Sakura recruits him for the Re:Build battles essential to challenging the King.

His relationships evolve throughout the narrative. He forms a close trio with Sakura and Hiyori Tori, frequently assuming a protective or mentor role. Three years after the first season's events, his absence profoundly impacts Hiyori; her personality hardens under harsh conditions. Hiyori's actions in the second season are motivated by a quest to uncover Neo Kyoto's truths and reunite with him, underscoring his lasting influence. His connection with Kikka also develops, navigating themes of trauma and reconciliation.

Physically, Teruto possesses brown hair and olive eyes. His distinctive attire typically includes a coat, an animal hood, and specific accessories. Within the Build-Divide game, his Ace card and Territory are associated with the color white, aligning with the second season's themes.
