Ai Shinozaki, known as Corrector Ai and referred to as the Nazo no Corrector or Mysterious Corrector, is introduced in the second season of the series. She is a timid and withdrawn girl who initially appears cold and antisocial, keeping others at a distance. This personality is a protective mask she developed after suffering a personal tragedy: her father, a programmer who helped create the ComNet, died, and her mother fell into a coma under circumstances connected to the network. Ai becomes a Corrector by her own means, driven by a personal mission to find a lost little girl carrying a teddy bear, known as Little Ai, whom she believes is linked to her mother's condition. She operates alone, efficiently completing tasks without relying on others, and initially views Yui Kasuga as naive and reckless. Over time, Yui's persistent kindness and determination force Ai to confront her own emotions and gradually open up to friendship. Ai moves in with her relative Shun Toujo, becoming Yui's neighbor, which brings her into closer contact with Yui's circle. In battle, Ai wields the power of the Element Suits with greater skill and effectiveness than Yui, making her a formidable Corrector. Her character development revolves around learning to trust others, overcoming her isolation, and reconciling with her painful past. By the end of the series, she fully joins Yui and Haruna as a trusted ally, no longer working in the shadows.
