Description
Kōta Kōga (or Cota Coga) is a determined 12-year-old who launches his Bottle Battling journey as a silver ranker, ultimately ascending to the prestigious title of Bottle King. He starts out cleaning battlefields part-time with his friend Ponta Hayari. His competitive debut follows his discovery of the Bottleman Colamaru DX, pre-registered as "Origin." While initially driven by the need to pay for property damages, Kōta soon discovers a profound passion for the sport itself. Colamaru DX chooses him as its partner, forging a powerful bond that deepens through their shared experiences. Later, Kaori equips him with the Speed Core and Control Core, refining his aiming and shooting skills with Colamaru. When Colamaru sacrifices itself to shield him from Ryo's outburst, Kōta suffers immense distress. Entrusting the damaged Bottleman to Kaori for repairs results in its renewal as Colamaru Energy DX, a testament to their resilient partnership.

Kōta sports red hair with green streaks tied in a small ponytail, red eyes, and distinctive ear piercings. He initially wears a red tracksuit with white accents, black straps featuring green details, black shorts with teal accents, and magenta sneakers with yellow soles. Starting in Episode 36, he adopts a new outfit designed with MANGART BEAMS: a black tracksuit, shorts, and sneakers accented with red and teal, reflecting outdoor fashion with sporty elements. As a child, he wore a grey coat with lime yellow highlights, black-and-white shorts, and red-yellow basketball shoes marked with "CO" on the left chest.

His personality blends excitability, determination, and occasional recklessness. He often acts impulsively and impatiently, sometimes seeming absentminded. Yet, Kōta demonstrates strong loyalty, kindness, and sportsmanship, treating allies and rivals with consistent respect. He views Bottle Battling as a universal source of joy and strives to spread happiness through the sport. This perspective fuels his confusion during the conflict between B-DACT and BMA, as he struggles to reconcile power struggles with his vision of unity. His resolve hardens when Ponta, revealed as Citrus, attempts to dismantle the battle system under AI influence. Learning the AI controls Ponta, Kōta joins a crucial Bottle Battle to rescue him, reigniting Ponta's passion and enabling him to eject the AI.

After Ponta voluntarily relinquishes the title, Kōta inherits the rank of Bottle King via a Bottle Royale he proposes to prove his worthiness. As Bottle King, he and Ryo undertake the mission to defeat the AI threatening humanity. They infiltrate an abandoned facility and battle Blastboss, overcoming challenges by activating Sparkling Nova to achieve victory. Their shared determination to keep competing allows both to survive the ensuing explosion, culminating in a final match after saving the world.

Kōta is the eldest of four siblings. His Bottleman arsenal includes Colamaru DX (a power-type modeled after the Phoenix constellation), an unnamed light-green-and-pink Bottleman used briefly during Colamaru's absence, and the upgraded Colamaru Energy DX after reconstruction. His name derives from "Coca-Cola," aligning with the series' beverage theme.
