Description
Argo Gracy, known as Argo Garcia in some versions, is a recurring antagonist from the Beyblade Metal Saga, first appearing in Beyblade: Metal Masters. He is a tall, dark-skinned young man from Brazil with dark eyes and dark brown hair styled into dreadlocks, which he typically wears under a large red bandana. His attire often consists of a dark red shirt covered by a blue jacket, dark green shorts with a belt, and brown and black boots.

Argo serves as the leader of Team Garcias, a team composed of his siblings. The family is portrayed as having endured a difficult life on the streets, which has profoundly shaped Argo's worldview and personality. He is an extremely selfish, power-hungry, and ruthless blader who believes that victory is the only thing that matters and that it should be achieved by any means necessary. This philosophy often manifests as unsportsmanlike conduct, as he has no qualms about injuring opponents, playing dirty, or using deceptive tactics to gain an advantage. He is highly arrogant, possessing a major superiority complex, and holds a vindictive grudge against those who defeat him, most notably Tsubasa Otori. For Argo, Beyblading is not a sport or a passion but a tool to acquire wealth and power, a perspective he has passed on to his younger siblings, Ian, Selen, and Enzo.

In the story of Metal Masters, Argo and his team are introduced as a major obstacle for the protagonists, Gan Gan Galaxy. His primary motivation is to crush his opponents and win the World Championship at any cost. He demonstrates his power early on by easily defeating the strong blader Damian Hart in a single hit, a feat that establishes him as a formidable threat. His role is that of a cunning and powerful antagonist who relies on psychological warfare and physical intimidation. During the tournament, Team Garcias uses underhanded methods, such as ambushing and injuring Yu Tendo and his Beyblade, Flame Libra, to weaken their opponents before the official matches even begin.

Argo's key relationships are primarily with his family members, whom he commands as the team's leader. His influence is the driving force behind their collective ruthless behavior. His most significant rivalry forms with Tsubasa Otori. When they finally face each other in a decisive match, Argo is initially dominant. However, the battle pushes Tsubasa to confront and master the darkness within his own Beyblade, Earth Eagle. In this state, Tsubasa is able to overpower Argo and defeat him, a loss that Argo takes very personally. He also has a brief but notable encounter with Ryuga in the manga version of the story, where his arrogance leads to his Beyblade being completely destroyed.

Throughout Metal Masters, Argo shows little to no character development or redemption. He remains a steadfast antagonist whose worldview is challenged only by his defeat, which fuels his anger rather than inspiring any change. His abilities as a blader are nonetheless significant. He wields the attack-type Beyblade Ray Gil 100 RSF, whose spirit is a plesiosaur skeleton. Ray Gil is known for its incredible speed and powerful attack power, designed to overwhelm opponents in bursts, though it notably lacks strong defensive capabilities. Argo's signature special move is called the Keel Strangler, a powerful attack he uses to dominate his battles. His strength lies not just in raw power but in his strategic cunning and willingness to exploit any weakness, making him one of the more dangerous and morally corrupt bladers in the series.
