Description
Emika Takatsuki is the older sister of Ichika Takatsuki and comes from the same advanced extraterrestrial civilization. She works for the Space Federation, the governing body of her home world, which strictly prohibits contact with the inhabitants of underdeveloped planets. Earth is classified with a "Level F" rank by the Federation, making it an off-limits world where any interaction with humans is illegal. Emika travels to Earth using a rented, highly advanced spaceship after her sister's rescue pod loses contact and is presumed missing. She takes time off from her duties to undertake this personal mission, demonstrating her deep sense of family responsibility.

Emika has a personality that initially appears strict, distant, and driven by duty. She is a very responsible and reasonable individual, but her primary focus is on adhering to the laws of the Federation and ensuring her sister's safety. Upon learning of Ichika's romantic relationship with the human boy Kaito Kirishima, Emika becomes angry, seeing it as a dangerous breach of intergalactic law. Because of this, she avoids interacting with Ichika's human friends, with the sole exception of the perceptive Remon Yamano, whom she trusts. However, beneath her stern exterior, Emika is deeply caring and supportive, especially towards her sister. As she listens to Kaito and observes the genuine feelings between him and Ichika, she shows a warm and understanding side, eventually becoming a key ally to the group. Her sense of empathy and strength ultimately prevail, and she works hard to find a solution rather than simply enforcing the rules.

Emika's primary motivation is to locate her missing younger sister and bring her back to their home planet, as required by Federation law. This mission becomes more complex when she discovers Ichika's emotional attachment to Earth and to Kaito. Her motivation then shifts from strict retrieval to finding a legal loophole that would allow her sister to stay. The key to this solution comes from Remon's advice, which reveals that if the group can prove their ancestors once visited Earth and had contact with humans, Ichika's rule-breaking could be excused or lessened. Emika's role becomes crucial as she shares this information with the group and supports their search for proof while she remains hidden aboard her spaceship.

In the story, Emika serves as a catalyst for the central conflict of the final act, arriving to take Ichika away. At the same time, she becomes the source of the solution, providing the knowledge needed to challenge the Federation's rules. The character's relationships are defined primarily by her bond with her sister, Ichika Takatsuki, for whom she shows profound love and protectiveness. Her relationship with Kaito Kirishima evolves from initial anger and distrust to a respectful understanding, as she ultimately helps him and Ichika be together. Among Ichika's friends, Emika interacts most closely with Remon Yamano and Mio Kitahara; she collaborates with Mio to plan solutions and relies on Remon for strategic advice.

Throughout her appearance, Emika demonstrates notable development. She begins as an enforcer of galactic law, but after seeing the strength of her sister's feelings, she transforms into a compassionate and pragmatic problem-solver. Her abilities are not combative but are centered on her knowledge of advanced technology and interstellar law. She pilots a sophisticated spaceship and is versed in the regulations of the Space Federation, which ultimately provides the key to resolving the story's central dilemma. Emika uses her resources to help the group, such as preparing a special van for their search, while she directs their efforts from her ship.
