Maria Sumner is a German actress and voice actress known for her work in dubbing foreign-language films and television series into German. She completed her acting training at the Novalis-Schule in Stuttgart and has appeared in theater productions and short films. In addition to her acting work, she is also a singer and accompanies herself on the piano.

Sumner has been active as a voice actress for many years, lending her voice to numerous characters in anime series and films. Among her notable anime roles is Yuuna Akashi in the German dubs of the Magister Negi Magi and Negima!? series, including the spring and summer specials. She also provided the German voice for Makoto Kirishima in the anime series Wanna Be the Strongest in the World!. Her other anime credits include Miyuki Enomoto in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Fumio Hoshino in the drama series Rumbling Hearts, and roles in various ×××HOLiC projects.

Beyond anime, Sumner's voice acting portfolio is extensive and includes dubbing work for live-action series and films.
