Description
Argo Garcia appears in Beyblade: Shogun Steel as a returning antagonist from earlier installments of the Metal Saga, where he originally served as the leader of Team Garcias, the Brazilian representative team. By the time of Shogun Steel, which takes place seven years after his first appearance, Argo has matured into an adult. His physical appearance has changed significantly from his younger days. He is a tall man of Brazilian origin who has grown a light beard. His hair, once styled in full dreadlocks, is now trimmed and pulled back, though a single strand often hangs in the front. Instead of his earlier casual attire of a red tank top, blue vest, and green shorts, he now wears a white business suit with a violet or lavender colored shirt underneath, paired with white pants and shoes. He also sports a small gold pendant and multiple rings on his fingers.

The hardships of growing up on the streets deeply shaped Argo Garcia's personality, instilling in him a misanthropic worldview where victory is the sole measure of success and concepts like trust and hard work are meaningless. He is characterized as an extremely selfish, arrogant, and power-hungry individual who views Beyblade not as a sport but as a tool to satisfy his greed. His ruthless nature means he is not above using any means necessary to win, including employing dirty tricks and injuring his opponents. He is also deeply vindictive, holding a strong grudge against the blader Tsubasa Otori for defeating him in the past. Despite his contempt for most people, he shows loyalty to his siblings: Ian, Selen, and Enzo Garcia.

In Beyblade: Shogun Steel, Argo Garcia resurfaces as one of the primary antagonists and a leader of a new organization known as DNA, which stands for Dark Nebula Again. His role in the story is primarily that of a manipulator and controller from the shadows. Alongside his siblings, he is revealed to be the one who dispatched the powerful bladers Kira Hayama and Yoshio Iwayama to carry out their plans. The group is shown to have hacked the WBBA (World Beyblade Battle Association), which forced the organization to hold the Neo Battle Bladers tournament. Argo appears before the main characters via a video chat to announce his involvement and the purpose of the tournament, revealing that the Garcias are the heads of the DNA company. However, his control over the organization is later usurped by the returning villain Doji, forcing Argo and his siblings to retreat from the Dark Nebula headquarters. Though he promises to return, this is his final appearance in the series.

Argo Garcia wields the Beyblade Ray Gil 100RSF, a testament to his power as a blader. His abilities are complemented by his cunning and strategic mind, which he uses to orchestrate events from behind the scenes rather than just through direct battles. His key relationships in Shogun Steel are primarily with his family, who serve as his co-conspirators in DNA, and with the bladers he controls, Kira Hayama and Yoshio Iwayama, whom he uses as instruments to achieve his goals. His development in this series shows him transitioning from a direct, on-field cheater to a more sophisticated criminal mastermind, though his core motivation of achieving power and victory by any means remains unchanged.
