TV-Series
Description
Momoka Minami is a supporting character in Love Lab. She is a third-year student at Fujisaki Girls Academy and serves as the leader of the Newspaper Association, a club that publishes the school’s “Fuji Leaks” newspaper. In the club, Momoka handles the writing and journalism duties, while her partner Nana Ichikawa is responsible for photography. She is often called by the nickname Momo. Her surname Minami means south, and her given name Momoka incorporates the characters for peach and flower.

In terms of personality, Momoka is described as outgoing and confident. She takes her role in the newspaper club seriously, showing a strong sense of loyalty to the association. She is also known to be strict and meticulous in her work, ensuring that the articles she produces meet her standards. Despite her somewhat rigid exterior when it comes to rules and responsibilities, she cares about her friends and is willing to help them. Her motivations stem from her commitment to her club and a personal rivalry with Sayo Igarashi, a member of the student council. Momoka plans and schemes to get back at Sayo for past incidents, which adds a competitive dynamic between them.

Within the story, Momoka occupies a supporting role alongside Nana, serving as a foil to the main student council characters. Her interactions with Sayo highlight her more mischievous and determined side. She does not undergo significant personal development throughout the series but remains a consistent presence in the background of the school’s social landscape. Her notable ability is her skill as a journalist: she writes the articles that form the content of the school newspaper, demonstrating both writing talent and an eye for newsworthy events.
