Description
Ledo is a sixteen-year-old ensign of the Galactic Alliance of Humankind, a soldier raised entirely within a perpetual interstellar war against an enemy known as the Hideauze. After a failed retreat from a critical battle, he is thrown through a wormhole and loses consciousness. When he awakens, he finds himself stranded on a water-covered Earth, a planet his civilization long considered a frozen myth. He and his artificial intelligence-controlled Machine Caliber, Chamber, have been salvaged by the crew of a vast fleet of ships called the Gargantia.
Ledo's personality is initially defined by extreme wariness, caution, and a rigid military mindset. He is highly intelligent and methodical, capable of examining his surroundings with great detail, a skill augmented by his partnership with Chamber. Having spent his entire life in combat, he views the world through a lens of military efficiency and survival.
