Meika Daihatsu is a robot who serves as the landlady of the Korai House apartment complex, where most of the main characters reside. Created twenty years prior to the events of the story by Professor Tenga Daihatsu, whom she lovingly refers to as her grandfather, Meika was designed to look and act remarkably human, complete with realistic skin and internal mechanical components like a reactor to keep her functioning. Her physical appearance is distinct, as she has the shortest height among the female characters, with curly, saddle brown hair that flows down to her waist, and brown eyes. She often wears a knitted, midnight blue sweater dress paired with dark orange-red stockings and yellow rubber slippers, and is frequently seen with a pair of headphones around her neck. Despite being a robot, her design is so sophisticated that her skin can change color when subjected to stress, such as having tape ripped off, and it effectively keeps out water.
