Description
Leona Miyamura is a key figure in the events surrounding the seven witches at her school. She is the older sister of Toranosuke Miyamura and, together with Haruma Yamazaki, was a founding member of the Supernatural Studies Club. Their shared goal was to locate and understand all seven witches, and they successfully identified six of them before the identity of the seventh witch remained elusive. Leona’s deep feelings for Haruma motivated her involvement, but she became disillusioned with his methods, particularly his desire to use witch powers to uncover her true feelings. She rejected him but left the possibility open for a sincere confession in the future. Upon learning the name of the seventh witch and realizing its memory‑erasing ability, Leona became terrified and stopped attending school. She isolated herself in her room, spending time on her computer and, when disturbed, defending her space by throwing scissors like knives. Her personality is described as mysterious and old‑fashioned, and her speech is influenced by classical Japanese literature. Despite her reclusive behavior, she cares deeply for her brother and expressed gratitude to Ryu Yamada for being his friend, while also refusing to involve Toranosuke in the witches’ affairs. Leona’s knowledge of the seventh witch and its power proves crucial; she eventually shares the witch’s name with Yamada and, with the help of Nene Odagiri, later informs him that a wish can be granted if the seven witches gather together. In the subsequent ritual, Yamada’s wish to remove the witches’ powers allows Leona to retain her own memories without the seventh witch’s erasure taking effect. Her notable abilities include her skill with scissors as thrown weapons and her extensive research into the nature of the witches. Leona’s role in the story is that of a knowledgeable but cautious former investigator whose fear of the seventh witch’s power drives her into seclusion, yet whose information ultimately aids the main characters in confronting the supernatural phenomena at the school.
