Description
Peter Mork, whose name is also romanized as Peter Mauk, is a supporting character in the anime Overlord. He is a silver-ranked adventurer connected to the adventurer guild of the city of E-Rantel in the Re-Estize Kingdom, and he serves as the leader of the adventurer party known as the Swords of Darkness. The party takes its name from the four magic swords once carried by the Dark Knight, one of the legendary Thirteen Heroes, and the group's shared goal is to one day obtain those legendary blades.

In appearance, Peter is a young man with blonde hair and blue eyes, traits that are common among the people of the kingdom, and a face with smooth but otherwise unremarkable features. As a frontline warrior he wears practical equipment, typically chainmail worn over a leather shirt, and he fights with a broadsword and a large shield. His role within the party is that of a defensive vanguard who protects the members fighting behind him.

In terms of personality, Peter is described as a cheerful and good-natured person, as well as a serious and earnest young man. He possesses solid leadership skills and shows reliable judgment as the head of his group, often working to keep his lively teammates focused and steering conversations back on track when they drift. He carries much of the responsibility for the party's cohesion and is considerate of his comrades' wellbeing.

Peter's main motivation is the ambition tied to his party's name: acquiring the legendary sword of the Dark Knight among the Thirteen Heroes. As an adventurer, he is also driven by the normal concerns of the profession, such as completing quests and maintaining the safety of his companions. His devotion to his team is a consistent part of his character.

In the story, Peter and the Swords of Darkness take on a monster subjugation quest alongside the adventurer Momon and his companion Nabe. Early in this working relationship, Peter feels some jealousy toward Momon, but after witnessing Momon's overwhelming strength, he comes to respect him sincerely. Peter's part in the narrative ends early when he is killed by the antagonist Clementine, an encounter that the members of the Swords of Darkness do not survive.

Regarding abilities, Peter is a fighter who can use the martial art known as Fortress. He specializes in defense and battlefield control, taking his place on the front line as the party's shield while ensuring that the group's spellcasters and support members remain protected. His greatest strengths are not only his personal combat ability but also his accurate situational awareness and leadership in the heat of battle. His exact level is not specified, although with the support of his comrades he is able to fight on even terms with a group of wild goblins.

Within the Swords of Darkness, Peter works alongside several key companions. Lukrut Volve is the party's ranger and its jokester. Ninya is the party's spellcaster and strategist, an accomplished magic user with a talent that allows her to learn spells quickly. Dyne Woodwonder is the party's druid, who is knowledgeable about herbal medicine and carries effective remedies for ailments such as stomach pain. Peter is aware of Ninya's personal circumstances, and the relationship among the teammates is a close and cooperative one. His time in the series is brief, moving from a competent and principled adventurer leader to an early casualty of the dangers present in the world around him.
