Description
Fuuko Kuzuha is a main character in the anime I My Me! Strawberry Eggs. She is a student at the Seito Sannomiya Private School, where she is in her second year and attends class alongside her friends Fujio and Miho. Born on March 20, her age is fourteen, and she has brown eyes and brown hair that falls to her neck.

Fuuko's personality is defined by a compelling blend of clumsiness and quiet strength. She is famously accident-prone, and it is a running characteristic that she frequently trips or encounters mishaps. Despite being mild-mannered and easily flustered, she possesses a remarkably strong will. She is selfless, often taking on tasks by herself and helping others without hesitation, sometimes at the expense of her own time and dignity. Outwardly, she appears delicate and fragile, but internally she is resilient and energetic. She greatly values harmony within her class and dislikes arguments or fighting, as her own mood can be easily influenced by the atmosphere around her. When she is genuinely upset, it is difficult for her to pretend otherwise, and her smile can appear forced.

Her primary motivation stems from a tragic event in her past. Her mother, Touko Kuzuha, passed away when Fuuko was six years old. Her father is an unmarried traveling businessman, leaving her to reside at the school dormitories and be quite independent. She carries a photograph of her mother as her most cherished keepsake, and her deepest desire is to honor her mother's final wish: "No matter what, keep smiling". This promise is the source of her determination to always appear cheerful, even when she is struggling emotionally.

Fuuko's role in the story is that of a co-protagonist whose personal journey is deeply intertwined with the series' central themes of gender and identity. Her most significant relationship is with Hibiki Amawa, her homeroom teacher, whom she initially believes to be a woman. Despite her anxiety and confusion, she develops a tender and powerful romantic attraction to Hibiki's personality. This attraction brings her considerable shame and gender confusion, as she struggles to understand her strong feelings for someone she perceives as female. As Hibiki faces challenges in the teaching environment, Fuuko becomes a crucial ally, consistently supporting her teacher's new methods and using her charm to rally the rest of the class. In the climax of the story, when Hibiki's true gender is exposed to the entire school, Fuuko bravely speaks up in his defense, changing the negative opinions of those around her. She is also the object of affection for her classmate Akira Fukae, though she appears to be unaware of his feelings.

Throughout the narrative, Fuuko undergoes significant development. She begins as a girl who buries her pain behind a forced smile to fulfill a promise to her late mother. A pivotal moment occurs when she loses the precious photograph of her mother, which causes her cheerful facade to crack, revealing the sadness underneath. It is only when Hibiki takes her to her mother's grave, a place she had been avoiding, that she is able to confront her grief and truly remember her mother's words. Her emotional arc moves from performing happiness to genuinely living by her mother's advice. Her development also includes coming to terms with her romantic feelings. While she starts the series with no experience with the opposite sex, she ends it by accepting her powerful love for Hibiki, a man she initially admired while he was in disguise. Fuuko does not possess any supernatural or combat abilities; her notable strengths are her emotional resilience, her capacity for deep loyalty, and her ability to find her voice at a critical moment to stand up for what she believes is right.
