Movie
Description
Keiichi Morisato is a 21-year-old engineering student at the Nekomi Institute of Technology, where he is also a dedicated member of the NIT Motor Club. His family originally comes from the Kushiro subprefecture in Hokkaido. His father, Keima, is a glassblower with a natural gift for motorcycle maintenance, and his mother, Takano, is an avid mah-jong player. He also has a sister named Megumi.

In terms of personality, Keiichi is defined by his exceptionally pure and innocent nature. He is fundamentally a kind and good-hearted person who tries to be nice to everyone and dislikes seeing others hurt, often forgiving even those who cause him trouble. While he deeply loves Belldandy, he can be shy and indecisive, sometimes finding it difficult to express his feelings openly, despite the bond between them being unmistakable. He is reliable, honest, and rarely complains about setbacks.

Keiichi's primary motivation throughout the story is his love for Belldandy. He wishes for her to stay by his side forever, a wish that sets the entire narrative in motion. His actions are consistently driven by a desire to protect and support her, even when doing so requires defying greater powers. He demonstrates an unshakable commitment to her, turning down advances from others, such as the fairy Morgan, because of his love for Belldandy.

In the story, Keiichi is the human protagonist who lives with the goddess Belldandy and her sisters, Urd and Skuld. His role often places him in extraordinary situations due to the divine beings around him. He is a highly skilled mechanic and an exceptional race driver, talents that are prominently displayed. He is also notable for his ability to host angels. Due to the love he receives from the three goddesses, Keiichi can temporarily host divine beings like Lind's angel, Cool Mint. On another occasion, he briefly hosts the demon-angel hybrid Blue Lance, who chose him because he was the only person to call her an angel rather than a former demon.

Keiichi's key relationships are central to his character. His bond with Belldandy is the heart of the series; they pass the ultimate test of true love at the Gate of Judgement, proving the purity and strength of their feelings for each other. He has a playful but often troublesome relationship with her sisters: Urd, who tries to meddle in his love life, and Skuld, who initially resents him for taking her sister away but eventually comes to accept him. His relationship with his family, particularly his father who shares his mechanical aptitude, is also explored.

Throughout his development, Keiichi grows from an unlucky college student with no experience with women into a more assertive and reliable individual. His ability to host angels demonstrates his inner strength and the purity of his character. In the movie, when Belldandy is infected by a virus from her former mentor, Celestin, and loses her memory, Keiichi remains devoted to her, refusing to abandon her. He even uses Celestin's own powers to help Belldandy overcome the Gungir program that threatens Earth, stating that he will always support her, even if it goes against Heaven itself.

Keiichi's notable abilities include his profound talent for mechanics and engineering, as well as his exceptional skills as a race driver. He has an aptitude for understanding and working with motor vehicles, often creating unusual machines when presented with a challenge. Beyond his practical skills, his most significant ability is his pure-hearted nature, which allows him to see and interact with divine phenomena that ordinary humans cannot, such as the light through which Belldandy descended to Earth, and to host powerful angels and demon-angels without being corrupted.
