Description
Anoa McCormick, also known by her alias Baron Maximillian, is a central figure in the narrative. She is a fifty-two-year-old woman who serves as the captain of the state-of-the-art warship Novis Noah. Her outward appearance and demeanor are those of a strong and capable leader, but this exterior conceals a deep and troubled personal history.

The primary source of her inner turmoil is her relationship with her son, Jonathan Glenn. She harbors a profound longing to be close to him, yet she is consistently met with his hatred and rejection, as Jonathan harbors deep resentment towards his mother for what he perceives as abandonment during his childhood. This unfulfilled desire for connection defines much of her personal motivation.

This emotional pain and longing eventually lead to her transformation. At a certain point in the story, she becomes lost in a powerful phenomenon known as a Chakra wave, which causes her to re-emerge as a mysterious and dark character named Baron Maximillian. In this new persona, she conceals her entire body under a cloak and armor, wears a mask, and uses a disguised voice, making her true identity impossible to guess. Despite her altered appearance, her driving force remains connected to her son. As Baron Maximillian, she seeks to take control of the enigmatic entity known as Orphan, all in the name of Jonathan.

In her role as the masked Baron, she acts as a mentor and supporter to Jonathan, providing him with a powerful Antibody called the Baron Grand Cher and serving as a figure he comes to respect and trust. The Baron does not fully cooperate with the forces of Orphan, instead operating with a personal agenda. Baron Maximillian is also depicted as a pilot of a highly evolved Antibody and commands a powerful Grand Cher unit. A notable aspect of this character is a strict code of honor, as the Baron once intervened to stop Jonathan from killing a disadvantaged opponent, deeming such an act dishonorable. Ultimately, Baron Maximillian seizes control from Jonathan at a critical moment and reveals herself as the true final antagonist, piloting a massive version of the Baron Cher in a final confrontation. The revelation that the masked Baron is, in fact, Jonathan's own mother forms the core of this character's tragic arc.
