Description
Guren Nash is the main protagonist and the leader of a new generation of Tenkai Knights. He is a boy of approximately thirteen years of age, distinguished by his black and red hair and blue-violet eyes. Due to his father's demanding work schedule, Guren has moved many times, and his family life is marked by his father's frequent absences, which is a source of personal frustration for him.
In terms of personality, Guren is characterized by a consistently positive attitude and an inherent bravery that prevents him from showing fear when confronted with difficult challenges. He possesses a natural aptitude for leadership, although he is still growing into the role and often requires experience to fully realize his potential. Guren is deeply loyal to his friends and becomes fiercely protective when they are threatened. He is described as polite, helpful, and kind, which makes it easy for him to form bonds with others, even in new environments. Despite his heroic qualities, he can sometimes be vain or easily annoyed, particularly regarding his father's lack of time for him.
Guren's primary motivation is to protect both Earth and the planet Quarton from the forces of evil, driven by a strong sense of justice and a desire to do what is right. His role in the story is central, as he is not only the field leader of the Tenkai Knights but also the user of the core brick of Bravenwolf, the leader of the original Tenkai Knights from a previous era. He often refers to himself as "Tenkai Power," reflecting his enthusiastic commitment to his mission. His journey begins after he and his new friend Ceylan Jones discover an interdimensional portal in a mysterious shop, which transports them to Quarton, where they learn of their destiny.
The most significant relationship in Guren's life is with his best friend, Ceylan Jones. The two met when Ceylan threw a paper airplane at Guren during a school introduction, an act that led to a fast friendship. He is also close teammates with Toxsa Dalton and Chooki Mason, together forming the core group of new Tenkai Knights. As the series progresses, he develops strong bonds with other allies, including Gen and Beni. Despite often acting as the leader, Guren repeatedly states that the Knights have no official leader, though he naturally fulfills the role.
Throughout the story, Guren undergoes significant development, particularly in mastering his powers. He is the first of the Knights to unlock Titan Mode, a transformation that enlarges him to twice his normal size and allows him to release powerful energy slashes. He later achieves the even more advanced Elemental Titan Mode. After being infused with a Dragon Cube, his appearance and abilities evolve further, becoming known as Bravenwolf Tenkai Firestorm. This new form grants him elemental power over fire, enabling him to conjure a giant ball of flame on the tip of his sword to hurl at his targets.
As the Tenkai Knight Bravenwolf, Guren is armed with a Tenkai Sword and a shield. His image color is red, and he is associated with the element of fire and the symbolic animal of a wolf. His primary abilities include transforming from his human form into his robotic knight form, utilizing his sword and shield in combat, and later summoning fire-based attacks.
