Description
Tezuka Gashin, a 16-year-old operative of the Japanese resistance group Yatagarasu, is consumed by vengeance after his father’s death at the hands of Ghost, an autonomous drone mecha. Inheriting his father’s AMAIM unit, Jogan—armed with dual Uzi machine guns and a 120mm double-barrel sniper cannon—he channels his rage into precision long-range strikes. His single-minded hunt for Ghost collapses when his older brother’s betrayal fractures the resistance, triggering an emotional collapse that drives him into temporary isolation.

Stoic and blunt by nature, Gashin’s icy exterior conceals fierce loyalty to his comrades. Bonds with allies like Amō Shiiba and Shion Shishibe chip at his emotional armor, particularly after Amō narrowly survives a clash with Ghost. This incident shifts Gashin’s focus from solitary vengeance to safeguarding allies, revealing a reluctant empathy beneath his aloofness.

A tactician who dominates long-range combat, Gashin’s mastery of Jogan contrasts with his social rigidity. His competitive clashes in strategy games and picky eating habits hint at vulnerabilities beneath his disciplined facade. Losses within Yatagarasu and evolving camaraderie gradually steer him toward the resistance’s broader goals, though his growth remains fraught with internal tension.

When Amō destroys Ghost, denying Gashin closure, he faces a reckoning with his purpose. Forced to relinquish his vendetta, he emerges more resolute in defending the collective cause, balancing resilience with unresolved grief. His arc traces a jagged path from vengeful isolation to fragile solidarity, anchored by loyalty and the hard-won acceptance of shared struggle over personal retribution.
