TV-Series
Description
The Chairman is the head of Hachimitsu Academy, a formerly prestigious all-girls school he made the decision to convert into a co-educational institution, resulting in the admission of five male students. He is the father of two daughters, Mari and Chiyo Kurihara.
His personality is a study in striking contradictions. On one hand, he presents a grandiose and stern demeanor, befitting his powerful and influential position. He aims to be a reasonable educator who values justice and fairness, and he generally harbors a sympathetic view toward the male students who are often persecuted within the school. On the other hand, he is an unabashed and established pervert. He is frequently seen watching pornography and has a deep, almost philosophical fascination with female posteriors, particularly those of South American women. This fetish is so profound that his office is filled with buttocks-related goods, and he has a personal philosophy on the subject. This lecherous side, which includes wearing only a thong around his young daughter Mari while proclaiming that a father should show his butt, has driven a significant wedge between them, leading to a poor father-daughter relationship.
The Chairman's role in the story is multifaceted. He is the primary authority figure, and his decision to integrate boys into the school sets the entire plot in motion. While he acts as a distant ally to the boys, his actions are often easily manipulated by others. For instance, his sense of justice allows the Student Council President, Kate Takenomiya, to convince him to imprison his own daughters and the Underground Student Council. His motivations appear to stem from a genuine, if misguided, desire to reform the school and a sense of fairness, which frequently clashes with the harsh discipline enforced by his daughter Mari.
Throughout the narrative, the Chairman undergoes a significant and bizarre development. On the day of the school's sports festival, he is involved in a car accident that leaves him stranded. While trying to continue his journey, he falls from a waterfall and goes into cardiac arrest. Revived by passersby, he is hospitalized but loses his memory, acting only on instinct. This leads to a chaotic and extended journey back to the academy, involving a police chase, a woman named Honey, and her wealthy fiancé, Mr. Important. During this amnesiac odyssey, he builds a cabin, fights a bear, and eventually regains his memories after a dog bite. He makes a dramatic return to the school via helicopter, but a series of mishaps causes the helicopter to crash directly into the school's prison, inadvertently destroying it. His final fate sees him imprisoned for endangering the school, though his private thoughts reveal a deep and nuanced concern for his daughters, deeming Chiyo the stronger of the two and worrying more about the emotionally vulnerable Mari.
In terms of abilities, the Chairman does not possess any fighting skills but demonstrates remarkable resilience and survival instincts. He survives a car crash, a fall from a waterfall, and cardiac arrest. During his amnesiac state, he is able to navigate a forest, construct a hammock and a cabin, and survive a bear encounter, suggesting a latent resourcefulness beneath his dandy exterior. His most notable trait is his unwavering, almost philosophical commitment to his own desires, paired with a unique speech pattern where he places special emphasis on the end of his sentences.
