Description
License-less Rider, whose real name is Satoru, is a 25-year-old C-Class Rank 1 professional superhero from Z-City in the world of One Punch Man. He stands at an average height and weight and wears an armored suit over a black leather underlayer, complete with gauntlets, kneepads, a green or yellow bicycle helmet, and dark shades. His signature vehicle is a mamachari-style bicycle, which he calls the Bicycle of Justice. He has no superhuman abilities and relies entirely on his physical endurance, hand-to-hand combat skills, and his bicycle as a blunt weapon. His personality is defined by an unshakable sense of justice, extreme bravery, and a refusal to back down from any threat, no matter how hopeless the fight. He is deeply kind, selfless, and always ready to help others, even if he lacks the power to make a difference. His primary motivation is to protect innocent people and uphold the ideal of heroism, not for fame or rank, but because he believes it is the right thing to do. In the story, he often appears as a supporting character who confronts overwhelming monsters and villains far beyond his class, such as the Deep Sea King and Hammerhead, enduring brutal beatings yet continuing to rise. His role highlights the contrast between true heroism and mere physical strength, serving as a moral anchor in a world filled with overpowered beings. He is one of the few heroes who recognizes Saitama's true strength early on, and the two develop a close friendship built on mutual respect. Other heroes, including S-Class hero Tanktop Master, acknowledge him as a genuine hero. Over the course of the series, his character develops through his persistent refusal to give up, and in later webcomic chapters he receives an upgraded suit that enhances his physical capabilities, allowing him to continue protecting others more effectively. His notable abilities include an indomitable will, remarkable resilience and pain tolerance that far exceed his class ranking, and proficiency in using his bicycle for both transportation and combat. Despite being physically outmatched by almost every opponent, his courage and determination remain his most defining traits.
