Description
Ellis Fahrengart is a central figure in the narrative, introduced as a 16-year-old student at Areishia Spirit Academy. She hails from a prestigious background as the second daughter of the Fahrengart Duke Family, a renowned military house in the Ordesia Empire. Physically, Ellis is a tall, striking young woman with long blue hair tied into a characteristic ponytail and auburn (or in some depictions, rose red) eyes. Despite her athletic and toned physique, she possesses a notably large bust, a feature she personally considers a hindrance to her swordsmanship rather than an asset.

As a student, Ellis is an elite of the highest order, holding an AA rank in the academy. She is a member of the most advanced class, known as the Weasel classroom, and serves as the captain of the Sylphid Knights, the academy's prestigious disciplinary committee responsible for maintaining public order. Her personality is defined by a strong sense of justice, seriousness, and a straightforward, honest nature. She is deeply principled and somewhat rigid in her thinking, which initially leads her to view the male protagonist as a threat to the academy's all-female environment. However, beneath this strict exterior lies a shy and easily flustered individual, especially when receiving compliments about her appearance. She has a hidden fondness for cute things, collecting dolls in her dormitory and possessing a soft spot for small精灵 (spirits). Interestingly, despite her knightly demeanor, she has diligently practiced cooking in preparation for her future role as a wife.

Ellis's motivations are deeply rooted in her admiration for her older step-sister, Velsaria Eva Fahrengart. She aspired to become a noble and righteous knight just like her sister. However, this ideal was shattered when Velsaria became corrupted by the pursuit of power and abandoned the knighthood. Ellis was then reluctantly appointed as the new captain of the Sylphid Knights, a position that left her grappling with the gap between her ideals and the harsh realities of leadership. She also harbors a secret admiration for Ren Ashbell, the legendary strongest blade dancer, whom she saw as the epitome of elegance and strength.

In the story, Ellis initially acts as an antagonist figure, distrustful of the male protagonist. Her role shifts dramatically after they are forced to cooperate in several dangerous incidents, including a battle at a mining city. Witnessing his strength and character causes her to develop romantic feelings for him. Her key relationships include her rivalry-turned-friendship with Claire Rouge, a fellow student, and her complex dynamic with her sister Velsaria. After losing confidence when Velsaria declared her unworthy of being a knight, Ellis finds renewed purpose and joins the protagonist's team, Team Scarlet, to participate in the Blade Dance tournament.

Throughout the series, Ellis undergoes a significant development arc. She begins as a rigid, rule-bound individual who hides her insecurities behind her status. Through her failures and her interactions with her peers, she learns to adapt and overcome her self-doubt, embracing a more flexible approach to knighthood. A defining moment of growth occurs during the精灵大祭 (Spirit Grand Festival) when she is severely injured. To lend her power to the protagonist, she kisses him to transfer her Wind Blessing, an act that unlocks an unknown神威 (divine power) within her, allowing her to recover faster than expected.

As a fighter, Ellis is a spear specialist who wields the魔风精灵 (Demon Wind Spirit) Simorgh, a giant bird spirit adept at reconnaissance. Her contract精灵魔装 (Spirit Armament) takes the form of a lance named风翼之枪 (Ray Hawk). She is proficient in wind attribute支援魔术 (support magic), utilizing spells such as飞翔 (Flight) and风之加护 (Wind's Blessing) to grant herself and her allies enhanced speed and jumping power. Offensively, she can generate a暴风席卷 (Storm Blast) and, in tandem with a friend, execute a combined ice and wind technique called冰岚乱舞 (Frozen Storm Dance). Her combat style is described as正统 (orthodox) due to her formal training, which leaves her vulnerable against unorthodox opponents, though she compensates for this with her mastery of her精灵魔术 (Spirit Magic).
