Description
God Lee is a character from the Bugs #2 mission, a tall and fit man with a long, mostly emotionless face. He is distinguished by a white bandage on his forehead, long strips of hair around it, and a ragged cloak worn over his suit. Multiple straps and bandoliers containing additional syringes adorn his attire, along with unique patterns on some of his armor plates. His nationality is Israeli, he stands 180 centimeters tall, weighs 80 kilograms, and is 26 years old.

Lee's background is defined by hardship and abandonment. As a child, he was taken in and raised by armed insurgents, surviving due to his extreme prowess in battle. Despite his skills, he was eventually left to die when he was wounded. Seeking to treat his injuries, he underwent the Bugs Procedure, a process from which he recovered faster than any other subject.

In personality, God Lee is serious and apathetic, shaped by his experience in war. He possesses a complex view of conflict, liking personal battles but harboring a strong dislike for larger wars. This pragmatic, stoic demeanor means he is not prone to overt displays of emotion, and he knows when to take action to do what he deems right. This is demonstrated during the Bugs #2 mission after the death of a crew member, Nanao. While others grieve, Lee coldly states that they cannot return to Earth because their mission is incomplete. He rationalizes that the crew members, forced into the mission due to debts and living "like a maggot," would have their deaths considered as worthless as a "maggot's" by the government. For him, there is no point in going home without finishing the task and getting paid.

His primary motivation is tied to this mission, and he believes the most effective course of action is direct confrontation. Claiming he is the best suited for the task, he sets out alone to kill the Terraformars, a sentiment supported by his captain. His role in the story is tragically brief, serving as a demonstration of the immense threat posed by the Terraformars. Shortly after leaving the safety of the ship, he senses a Terraformar's presence and activates his own transformation. Despite his abilities, he is quickly overwhelmed and killed, with his severed head being brought back to the ship by the creature. This event highlights the lethal gap in power between the human crew and their enemies.

His key relationships are primarily with his fellow crew members. He questions the emotional response of Shokichi Komachi, the squad captain, showing a lack of patience for what he sees as unproductive sentiment. He is also noted to have ranked second place in an arm-wrestling competition among the Bugs #2 crew, indicating a high degree of physical strength compared to his peers.

The notable abilities of God Lee come from the Bugs Procedure, which granted him the cellular traits of the Bombardier Beetle. This allows him to mix hydrogen peroxide and hydroquinone within his body and release a spray of extremely hot benzoquinone from the palms of his hands, creating a large explosion similar to a flamethrower. Beyond this M.O. Operation, he is also a highly skilled combatant, having been trained in tactical knife-fighting techniques. However, in a cruel twist of irony, his powerful explosive ability proves almost entirely ineffective against the Terraformars, causing only superficial burns. This ineffectiveness, combined with the creature's superior speed and strength, leads directly to his death. Adding to his narrative significance, a Terraformar later steals his abilities, becoming a Bombardier Beetle Terraformar that uses Lee's own power against the surviving human crew members. His development is therefore cut short, making him a tragic figure whose skills, while formidable in theory, were ill-suited to the specific enemy he was created to fight.
