Kane Kosugi is an American-born actor, martial artist, and voice performer of Japanese and Chinese descent, recognized for his work in both live-action and voice roles across Japanese and international media. While he is primarily known as an on-screen action star, his voice acting credits include several notable anime and animated projects.

One of Kosugi's most prominent voice roles is Ryu, the iconic protagonist of the Street Fighter franchise. He provided the Japanese voice for the character in the Fighter Alpha (also known as Street Fighter Zero: The Animation). This adaptation of the popular fighting game remains a key credit in his voice acting career. In a related capacity, he also performed motion capture for the character of Ryu Hayabusa in the live-action film adaptation of the video game DOA: Dead or Alive.

Kosugi's voice work extends to other animated features. He voiced the character of Saturn in the 2009 Japanese animated film Baton. He also contributed to the tokusatsu genre, a cornerstone of Japanese special-effects entertainment, by providing voice work for theatrical releases tied to the long-running Super Sentai franchise. The role was notable as his father, legendary martial arts actor Sho Kosugi, had originally provided the character's Japanese voice.

In addition to his voice work, Kosugi's career has been heavily defined by his physical performances in Japanese superhero media and action cinema. He is the son of Sho Kosugi, a famous ninja film star, and began appearing in films as a child. He gained wide recognition in Japan for his on-screen role as Jiraiya (Ninja Black) in the 1994 television series Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. He is also known for his extraordinary athleticism, having been a celebrated competitor on the extreme obstacle course show Sasuke, known internationally as Ninja Warrior. Kosugi is one of a select few actors to have appeared in the three major Japanese tokusatsu franchises: Ultraman, Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider.
