Description
Justice, whose real name is Masayoshi Kamase, is a character introduced in the Duel Masters Versus anime. He is a student at St. Angel Academy and serves as a subordinate to the powerful duelist Lucifer, forming part of Lucifer’s elite guard known as the Chorale alongside his peers Helen and Yohdel.

In terms of personality, Justice is initially portrayed as a selfish and manipulative individual who frequently invokes his alias to justify his attempts to control others. He can be petty and arrogant, once visiting a card shop to give it the worst possible rating out of spite. Despite these negative traits, he does possess a sense of honor. He becomes frustrated by his own repeated losses to the protagonist, Katta Kirifuda, which leads Katta to give him the insulting nickname Kamase-Dog, a pun on his surname that implies he is a perennial loser or "fodder". His behavior is often dramatic and self-important, yet he frequently ends up as the butt of jokes, establishing himself as a comedic character who is endearing despite his flaws. He holds deep admiration for Lucifer, but this is contrasted by his genuine fear of his ally Helen, whose hidden dark side he and Yohdel can perceive.

Justice’s primary motivation is his loyalty to Lucifer, though this is complicated by jealousy over the attention Lucifer pays to Katta. This rivalry fuels his initial hostility and his desire to prove himself as the superior duelist. His role in the story evolves from a minor antagonist to a supporting ally. He first challenges Katta on Lucifer's orders to test his strength, suffering a defeat. He later competes in tournaments, often using borrowed or stolen cards from Lucifer’s collection in an attempt to win. Over time, he and his comrades are repeatedly kidnapped by the villain Gyou, forcing Katta to rescue them, which gradually shifts Justice’s perspective. He eventually overcomes his resentment, cheering for Katta in crucial duels and even giving him powerful cards to use in battle. Years after the main events, he becomes Lucifer's music publishing manager, showing he remains a loyal and trusted associate.

Justice’s key relationships define his arc. His dynamic with Katta is central, beginning with open animosity and grudges but mellowing into mutual respect. He works as a comedic duo with Yohdel, though Yohdel and Helen often look down on him and also call him by his first name, Masayoshi, much to his annoyance as he prefers his alias. His devotion to Lucifer is unwavering, and although he fears Helen, he also shows her a degree of respect and supports her from the shadows.

Notable abilities include being a reasonably skilled card player. While often dismissed as weak due to his poor record against the main cast, he did reach the finals of a shop tournament, indicating competence above the average player. He is shown to wield advanced cards like Dragheart Fortresses effectively. His preferred deck is a Light Civilization deck, with his early strategy revolving around the disruptive creature Valhalla Knight, Domination Dragon Elemental to freeze his opponent's creatures. Later, he adopts other formidable cards, such as the Dragheart Fortress Zodiac, Floating Hymn / Hallelujah Zodia, Adoration Dragon Elemental, to enhance his power.
